Pack News

A vicious thunder and lightening storm would reign across the surrounding clearing and woodlands, engulfing the packs territory. A strike of lighting had ignited the hunting grounds setting it ablaze. The herds have all gone fleeing in fear. All that's left is at least 5 miles of open valley is burnt and charred plains. Ash would litter the immediate area and even in the clearing itself. The smell of burnt earth , brush and pine would loft to any and all as a pungent scent.

The pack mourns the loss of three of their members as they depart on their own journies. WolfSpirits wishes Hinaezuu, Willows and Kivak a farewell as they venture on their own path. They will be missed deeply..

REMINDER: WolfSpirits 9year Anniversary is within a couple of weeks (Feb 25th, 2010) There will be festivities held all day!

Where the pack is after the migration

Due to the decline and depletion of game in the pack's previous territory, they were forced to move on north to more hunting grounds.

There is a small hunting valley about a mile and a half down the slope and past the wooded area where deer and other smaller bits of game are seen but there is a small pond for drinking water.

To the north, about 3 miles there is a bigger valley where large herds of Bison and other large game have been seen to roam and graze on the springing grasses. A large fresh water creek runs through it and the mountain the pack used to cross to get to the valley is visable from this vantage.

Surrounded by a thick layer of stone, the 'clearing' of rock is now where the pack currently resides. Due to the threat of the wolves, this has been a safe haven and one that has kept the pack warm during cold nights for the suns rays would hold in the rocks. There is a fresh stream that provides a constant ray of water and tree's for shelter.

Your Path

The smell of the surrounding woodlands begins to tickle your nose and brings an ever inviting scent. The wind barley whispering to you "move forward.. find what it is your heart seeks".
You are quite unsure but your heart presses against your chest, giving you the nudge you need to press onwards.

The sweet smell of pine is very inviting and the tall lush grass towers around your paws, which now stand firm in the softest of soil. Untouched and unspoiled by the hands of man. Man in which have caused you to run, fight and defend what you honor most.

Your freedom.

Continuing onwards you find yourself feeling a sense of power. An inner feeling which excites your heart and your paws follow its rhythm, moving closer and closer to what it is you feel. Once you are up and over a small knoll carving a natural path against the earth, you find yourself standing in-front of two large boulders with an obvious opening.

Curiously you sniff about.

No scent of danger. There's nothing that has given you any reason to turn back, but more so, wanting to proceed onwards. Once through the openings within the two boulders you can smell the sweet smell of something off in the distance, even more inviting. Once your paws leave the soft soil they would befall atop the smooth surface of stone. Should your eyes wander, you are greeted with markings that adorn the cave walls.

Symbols in which you do not understand.

Yet... .

Moving in delicate ease your eyes begin to play stories as they unfold before you, beautiful colors dotted in simplistic designs while others were more complex in telling their story.

"What do they mean?"You question but not easily seeing the answer you continue on. Moving around a small bend, you find yourself looking ahead, the opening just there for you. You can see the beautiful light emerge from its open mouth, there was no detail or hint to what may lay just beyond, but you continue. Suddenly at each time your paw falls against the stone, moving deeper into the mouth of the cave, you can hear something faint, something in the distance.

Drums.

They were beating each time your paw touched the earth. Where were they coming from? The faint voices of something echoed against the darkness of the cave. Quickly looking around you clearly saw or smelt no one. What was it? You don't know, but something seems to reach out with gentle hands, stroking along your fur, along your scruff and along your body, pushing you, whispering to you to keep going. Hands in which welcomed you, a lost soul traveling now so close to home. The past was speaking, what resided here was powerful. It was as if mother nature herself was gently scooping you up and bringing you close, showing you protection from the world outside.

Something awaits you.

Pulling your eyes ahead once more you find yourself walking closer and closer to the exit. Bright and beautiful light, filtering through, sending the suns aura to strike the surface of the stone like earth, giving it a serene shine. There it is again, each time your paws fall, another beat of a drum, sending your heart to dance along with it as if it longed many years to hear it. Something deep inside you was coming out. Perhaps something never felt before. Honor of what you are. Pride of who you are and something more deeper then that, your spirit. It is talking to you, it is telling you something. Why haven't you heard it before? But only tell now , only until you've come to this beautiful and sacred place. A legend resides here your spirit tells you. Hurried you continue on, you cannot wait to see what lays ahead. There is a strong sense of honor and pride. Your paws stiffen, your claws scratch the earth, you come to a fast run now until you break free of the darkness that consumed you and like an explosion your suddenly bathed in light. Particles of dust and pollen fall all around you, enhanced by the sun they sparkle in your eye. Allowing your eyes to adjust only sooner do they widen at the sight just before you. You gasp.... behind you, the sounds linger a little, still pushing you onwards, but soon they come to you merely as the wind running along your fur. Though just before it does.... it whispers to you...

"in spirit... you are free".

• Once downloaded, open up the program and fill in the required boxes. NOTE: you do not have to fill in all the boxes such as your name and email address. You can even put in fake information if you desire.
